Methodology

CartSavvy tracks prices across 22 Australian retailers, scraped daily for most stores. For this analysis we looked at every Coles and Woolworths product that has gone on special at least 3 separate times (both are now scraped around their Wednesday special-price rotation instead of daily), and checked whether the gaps between those specials are consistent (within 30% of the average gap). Products with fewer than 3 observed specials, or with irregular gaps, aren't included — they don’t have enough signal to predict. Every product's individual price history is also available — look for the chart icon next to any product above.
