Two ways we measure price changes
- Past 30 days: today's prices compared with the same products about a month ago. The most up to date, including this week's price changes.
- Weekly trend since 22 Jun 2026: prices tracked week by week, up to the last full week (28 Sep 2026). A few days behind, but it shows the direction over time.
Both ignore specials, so a sale ending doesn't count as a price rise. They cover different dates, so their figures can differ. That's expected, not an error. Harris Farm is left out of both while we check its price feed.

Each week compares every product with its last regular price and averages the change (a geometric mean, the way official price indexes treat individual items), then chains the weeks together. It runs to the last full week (28 Sep 2026), so it can trail the past-30-days figures above by a few days. Products aren't weighted by how much people buy them, so this won't match the ABS food CPI, and a year-on-year figure needs a full year of data.
